Privacy Policy
49 Nights Privacy Policy
In short
- No accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
- No ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics. The app never asks for tracking permission.
- Your game progress and settings stay on your device.
- Purchases go through Apple's App Store and are checked on your device. We receive no personal data from Apple about your purchases.
- Payments are handled by Apple. We never receive your card or payment details.
49 Nights (the “game”) is made by a solo developer, Sae Won Yang (“we”). This policy explains what personal data the game processes and why.
1What we process and why
| Purpose | Data | Processed by | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Answering your emails | Your email address, your message and any attachments you send | Us | One year after we finish answering, then deleted |
The game app itself collects no personal data: apart from the App Store purchase itself, which Apple handles, it sends nothing about you to us or to anyone else. The only personal data we process is what you choose to send us by email, and we use it only to answer you. Legal basis (where GDPR applies): our legitimate interest in answering you.
2Data that stays on your device
The following never leaves your device and is never sent to us:
- Game saves, Bestiary, achievements, settings and on-device stats
- A purchase cache so purchases work offline (trusted for up to 30 days)
- Notification settings. Reminders are off by default; if you turn them on, they are scheduled on your device.
Sharing a result card or exporting your save only goes where you choose in the system share sheet. The game sends nothing on its own. Deleting the app deletes this data.
3Sharing and sale
We do not sell or share your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We disclose it only when the law requires it.
4Purchases and outside services
In-app purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and keeps your purchase history under its own privacy policy. The game checks what you own on your device with Apple's StoreKit; apart from the purchase with Apple, it sends nothing to us or to any other company. We receive no personal data about you from Apple, only sales totals. No other outside service processes personal data for the game. Support emails are kept in our email service, Gmail (Google LLC), whose servers are in the United States and other countries; we use them only to answer you.
5Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or to restrict its processing, at any time. Email us and we will act without undue delay. Your purchase history is held by Apple; you can see it in your Apple Account settings. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, Korea or California), you may also have the right to data portability and to complain to your local data protection authority.
6Children
The game does not collect information that identifies a person, such as names or contact details. If a child emails us, we use the message only to answer it.
7Security
- We process as little data as possible and transfer it only over encrypted connections.
- Only the developer can read the support mailbox.
- No outside service processes personal data for the game.
8Cookies and tracking
Neither the game nor this website uses cookies, advertising identifiers or tracking tools.
